Beaumont Saint-Cyr was formed on January 1, 2017 from the previous municipalities of Beaumont and Saint-Cyr . The administrative headquarters are in the locality of Beaumont. The inhabitants are called Beaumontsaintcyriens .

geography

Beaumont Saint-Cyr is located about ten kilometers southwest of Châtellerault and about 18 kilometers north-northeast of Poitiers . Beaumont Saint-Cyr is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Colombiers in the north, Naintré in the northeast, Vouneuil-sur-Vienne in the east, Bonneuil-Matours in the southeast, Dissay in the south and Jaunay-Marigny in the west.

The Autoroute A10 and the former Route nationale 10 (today's D910) run through the municipality .
