Beaumont is a commune Déléguée in the French municipality of Beaumont Saint-Cyr with 1,884 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The inhabitants are called Beaumontois .
By ordinance of June 16, 2016, the municipality was merged with the municipality of Saint-Cyr (Vienne) to form the municipality of Beaumont Saint-Cyr on January 1, 2017 . The municipality of Beaumont belonged to the arrondissement of Châtellerault and the canton of Jaunay clan (until 2015: canton of Vouneuil-sur-Vienne ).

Beaumont is located on the Palu River , a tributary of the Clain , which forms the southeastern municipal boundary, about 18 kilometers north-northeast of Poitiers .
The municipality of Beaumont was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Colombiers in the north, Naintré in the northeast, Vouneuil-sur-Vienne in the east, Saint-Cyr in the south and southeast, Dissay in the south and Marigny-Brizay in the west.
The A10 autoroute runs through the Commune déléguée .
