Saint-Cyr is a commune Déléguée in the French municipality of Beaumont Saint-Cyr with 1,151 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine .
By ordinance of June 16, 2016, the municipality was merged with the municipality of Beaumont to form the municipality of Beaumont Saint-Cyr on January 1, 2017 . The municipality of Saint-Cyr was in the Arrondissement of Poitiers and belonged to the canton of Jaunay clan .
geography
Saint-Cyr is located near the river Clain , which formed the western municipal boundary about 20 kilometers north-northeast of Poitiers . To the northeast of the village lies the Lac de Saint-Cyr in an amusement park of 300 hectares in the area of the former municipality .
The municipality of Saint-Cyr was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Dissay in the south, Bonneuil-Matours in the east, Vouneuil-sur-Vienne in the northeast and Beaumont (Vienne) in the northwest and west.

Attractions
- The red sandstone menhir of Pierre-Fitte, Monument historique since 1932, is 4.5 meters high.
