The Canton Vouneuil-sur-Vienne was 2015 a French constituency in Arrondissement Châtellerault in the department of Vienne and the region Poitou-Charentes ; its main town was Vouneuil-sur-Vienne . His representative in the Conseil Général des Départements was Gérard Barc ( PS ) from 1991 to 2015 .

The canton was in the center of the Vienne department. In the west it bordered on the canton of Saint-Georges-lès-Baillargeaux , in the north on the cantons of Châtellerault-Sud and Châtellerault-Ouest , in the east on the cantons Pleumartin and Saint-Savin and in the south on the cantons Chauvigny and Saint-Julien- l'Ars .
