The Canton of Lussac-les-Châteaux is a French canton in the Arrondissement Montmorillon in Vienne, in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; its main town is Lussac-les-Châteaux . Thierry Mesmin ( PS ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Department since 2004 .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Lussac-les-Châteaux included the ten communes Bouresse , Civaux , Gouex , Lhommaizé , Lussac-les-Châteaux , Mazerolles , Persac , Saint-Laurent-de-Jourdes , Sillars and Verrières . Its layout corresponded to an area of 318.81 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 8614.
