Verrières is a western French city and a municipality with 1,004 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Montmorillon and the canton of Lussac-les-Châteaux . The inhabitants are called Verriérois .
location
Verrières is located about 26 kilometers southeast of Poitiers on the River Dive . Verrières is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lhommaizé in the north, Civaux in the northeast, Mazerolles in the east, Bouresse in the south and Saint-Laurent-de-Jourdes in the west.
