Saint-Gaudent is a French municipality with 310 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Montmorillon and the canton of Civray . The inhabitants are called Saint-Gaudentais .

Saint-Gaudent is about 60 kilometers south-southwest of Poitiers . Saint-Gaudent is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Pierre-d'Exideuil in the north and north-west, Civray in the north and north-east, Genouillé in the east, Lizant in the south, Voulême in the west and south-west, Saint-Macoux in the west and Saint-Saviol in the Northwest.
