Surin is a French municipality with 133 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Montmorillon and the canton of Civray (until 2015: canton of Charroux ). The inhabitants are called Surinois .

Surin is about 58 kilometers south of Poitiers on the Lizonne . Surin is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Genouillé in the north and west, Asnois in the north and northeast, Chatain in the east and Le Bouchage in the south.
