The Communauté de communes du Civraisien de Poitou is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It was founded on January 1, 2017 and currently comprises 36 communities. The administrative headquarters are located in Civray .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

• Communauté de communes des Pays Civraisien et Charlois ,
• Communauté de communes du Pays Gencéen and
• Communauté de communes de la Région de Couhé .

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Couhé , Ceaux-en-Couhé , Châtillon , Payré and Vaux became part of the Commune nouvelle Valence-en-Poitou . This reduced the number of member communities to 36.
