The Communauté de communes et Vienne Gartempe is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It was founded on January 1, 2017 and comprises 55 parishes. The administrative headquarters are in Montmorillon .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

• Communauté de communes du Montmorillonnais and
• Communauté de communes du Lussacois .

In addition, six municipalities from the dissolved Communauté de communes du Pays Chauvinois and two municipalities from the Communauté de communes des Vals de Gartempe et Creuse joined the association.
