Saint-Germain is a French village with 928 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it is part of the arrondissement of Montmorillon and the canton of Montmorillon (until 2015: canton of Saint-Savin ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Germainois .

Saint-Germain is about 40 kilometers east of Poitiers on the Gartempe . Saint-Germain is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Nalliers in the north, Mérigny in the northeast, Ingrandes in the east, Béthines in the east and southeast, Villemort in the south and southeast, Antigny in the south and southwest and Saint-Savin in the west.
