Lizant is a French municipality with 404 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Montmorillon and the canton of Civray .

location

Lizant is located about 56 kilometers south-southwest of Poitiers on the Charente River , which borders the municipality to the west. Lizant is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Gaudent in the north, Genouillé in the east and north-east, Nanteuil-en-Vallée in the south and south-east, Taizé-Aizie in the south and west and Voulême in the west and north-west.
