Champagné-Saint-Hilaire is a French commune with 1,010 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the arrondissement of Montmorillon and the canton of Civray (until 2015: canton of Gençay ). The inhabitants are called Champagnois .

Champagné-Saint-Hilaire is located about 28 kilometers south of Poitiers . The Clain flows through the municipality . Champagné-Saint-Hilaire is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Marnay in the north, Magné in the northeast, La Ferrière-Airoux in the east, Sommières-du-Clain in the southeast, Romagne in the south, Vaux in the southwest, Ceaux-en-Couhé in the west and Anché in the north-west.
In the municipality lies the Seuil du Poitou , the intersection of the Aremorican massif with the central massif or the Parisian with the Aquitaine basin.
