Vaux (also: Vaux-en-Couhé ) is a commune Déléguée in the French commune of Valence-en-Poitou with 797 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Arrondissement Montmorillon , in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 : Poitou-Charentes ). The inhabitants are called Valois .
On January 1, 2019, the municipality of Vaux was merged with four others to form the Commune nouvelle Valence-en-Poitou. The municipality of Vaux was part of the canton of Lusignan (until 2015: canton of Couhé ).
geography
Vaux is about 33 kilometers south-southwest of Poitiers on the Bouleure River . The Commune déléguée Vaux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ceaux-en-Couhé in the north, Champagné-Saint-Hilaire in the northeast, Romagne in the east and southeast, Brux in the south and Couhé in the west.
