Couhé is a village and a former French commune with 1,884 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belonged to the arrondissement of Montmorillon and the canton of Lusignan .
With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Couhé , Ceaux-en-Couhé , Châtillon , Payré and Vaux were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Valence-en-Poitou , where they have the status of a Commune déléguée . The administrative headquarters are located in Couhé.
geography
The place is about 35 kilometers southwest of Poitiers and about 50 kilometers east of Niort , on the banks of the Dive River . Neighboring communities were:
- to the north: Châtillon
- in the northeast: Ceaux-en-Couhé
- to the east and south-east: Vaux
- in the south: Brux
- in the west: Rome (already in the neighboring Deux-Sèvres )

The Commune déléguée is crossed by the national road N 10 in a north-south direction. The nearest airport, Aerodrome Coutré-Verac, is just outside the commune déléguée, in the area of the municipality of Brux.
