Magné is a French municipality with 675 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Montmorillon and the canton of Civray (until 2015: canton of Gençay ). The inhabitants are called Magnéens .
geography
Magné is about 29 kilometers south of Poitiers . Magné is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Marnay in the north and north-west, Gençay in the north, Brion in the east, La Ferrière-Airoux in the south and south-east and Champagné-Saint-Hilaire in the west and south-west.
