The canton of Civray is a French constituency in the arrondissement of Montmorillon , in the department of Vienne and in the region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; its main town is Civray . Jean-Olivier Geoffroy ( DVD ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Département since 2011 .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Chauvigny included the twelve municipalities of Blanzay , Champagné-le-Sec , Champniers , Civray , Linazay , Lizant , Saint-Gaudent , Saint-Macoux , Saint-Pierre-d'Exideuil , and Saint -Saviol , Savigné and Voulême . Its layout corresponded to an area of ​​198.30 km ² . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 8605.
