The canton of La Trimouille was until 2015 a French constituency in the arrondissement of Montmorillon , in the department of Vienne and in the region of Poitou-Charentes ; its main town was La Trimouille . Hervé Vallet ( DVD ) was the last representative in the General Council of the Département from 2004 to 2015 .

The canton of La Trimouille was 315.67 km² and had 3,209 inhabitants (as of 1999), which corresponds to a population density of around 10 inhabitants per km². It was on average 165 meters above sea ​​level , between 87 meters in Liglet and 204 meters in Coulonges .
