The Canton Poitiers-3 is a French constituency in Arrondissement of Poitiers , in Vienne, and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Michel Touchard ( PS ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Département since 2008 .
The canton consists of part of the municipality of Poitiers with a total of 26,531 inhabitants (as of 2017):
Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the two municipalities of Mignaloux-Beauvoir and Poitiers belonged to the canton of Poitiers-3 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 8633.
