The Canton Chatellerault-Sud was 2015 a French constituency in Arrondissement Châtellerault in the department of Vienne and the region Poitou-Charentes ; its main town was Châtellerault . His representative in the Conseil Régional was last from 2004 to 2015 Christian Michaud ( PS ).
The canton was in the north of the Vienne department. To the west it bordered the cantons of Neuville-de-Poitou and Saint-Georges-lès-Baillargeaux , to the north to the canton of Châtellerault-Nord , to the east to the canton of Châtellerault-Ouest and to the south to the canton of Vouneuil-sur-Vienne . It was on average 67 meters above sea level , between 42 m in Châtellerault and 146 m in Senillé .
