Asnois is a western French city and a municipality ( commune ) with 163 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Montmorillon and the canton of Civray (until 2015 Charroux ). The inhabitants are called Asnoisia .

Asnois is located about 50 kilometers south-southeast of Poitiers on the Charente . Asnois is surrounded by the neighboring communities Charroux in the north, Pleuville in the east, Chatain in the south and south-east, Surin in the south and south-west and Genouillé in the west.
