Bouresse is located about 31 kilometers southeast of Poitiers on the upper reaches of the Dive River . Bouresse is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Verrières in the north, Mazerolles in the northeast, Gouex in the east, Queaux in the east and southeast, Usson-du-Poitou in the south, Saint-Secondin in the west and southwest, Brion in the west and Saint-Laurent-de- Jourdes in the northwest.
