Lhommaizé is a western French city and a municipality with 859 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Montmorillon and the canton of Lussac-les-Châteaux . The inhabitants are called Lhommaizéens .
location
Lhommaizé is about 25 kilometers southeast of Poitiers on the Dive River . Lhommaizé is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Valdivienne in the north and northeast, Civaux in the east, Verrières in the south, Saint-Laurent-de-Jourdes in the southwest, Dienné in the west and Fleuré in the northwest.
The national route 147 runs through the municipality .
