Saint-Saviol is a French municipality with 532 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Montmorillon and the canton of Civray . The inhabitants are called Saint-Saviolais .

location

Saint-Saviol is located about 52 kilometers south-southwest of Poitiers on the Charente River . Saint-Saviol is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Pierre-d'Exideuil in the north and east, Saint-Gaudent in the south-east, Saint-Macoux in the south, Limalonges in the west and Linazay in the north-west.

The Saint-Saviol train station is on the Paris – Bordeaux line .
