Sillars is a western French city and a municipality with 611 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Montmorillon and the canton of Lussac-les-Châteaux . The inhabitants are called Sillarois .

Sillars is about 37 kilometers southeast of Poitiers . Sillars is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Chapelle-Viviers in the north and northwest, Pindray in the north and northeast, Montmorillon in the east, Saulgé in the south and east, Persac in the southwest and Lussac-les-Châteaux in the west.
