Le Vigeant is about 50 kilometers south-southeast of Poitiers . The river Vienne forms the eastern boundary of Le Vigeant . Neighboring municipalities are Queaux in the north, Moussac in the northeast, L'Isle-Jourdain in the east, Millac in the east and southeast, Availles-Limouzine in the south, Saint-Martin-l'Ars in the west and Usson-du-Poitou in the north-west.

The Circuit de Val de Vienne motorsport racetrack is located in the municipality .
