The Vienne is a river in France . It has its source in the Massif Central , on the Plateau de Millevaches in the Millevaches en Limousin Regional Nature Park . Their sources are in the municipality of Millevaches , southwest of the town of Audouze , at an altitude of about 880 meters, on the northeast flank of the Puy Lacaux . The Vienne first drains west, then turns north and after 363 kilometers flows into the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Nature Park at Candes-Saint-Martin at around 203 m³ / s as a left tributary into the Loire .

The Civaux nuclear power plant is located on the Vienne .
