The Briance (in the upper reaches also: Grande Briance ) is a river in France that runs in the Haute-Vienne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It has its origins in the Millevaches en Limousin Regional Nature Park , where it is created in the municipality of La Croisille-sur-Briance by the confluence of two source streams. The Briance generally drains in a north-westerly direction and flows into the Vienne as a left tributary after 58 kilometers at L'Aiguille , in the municipality of Bosmie-l'Aiguille .
