The Aurence is a river in France that runs in the Haute-Vienne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises near the hamlet of Mazérettas in the municipality of Chaptelat , initially drains in a southeastern direction, then turns to southwest, passes the city of Limoges and flows into the Vienne as a right tributary after a total of 27 kilometers in the municipality of Aixe-sur- Vienne .
