Couzeix ( Occitan Cosés ) is a municipality in France with 9,268 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the north-western Massif Central . It belongs to the department of Haute-Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Couzeix is part of the Limoges arrondissement and the canton of Limoges-Couzeix . The inhabitants arecalled Couzeixois .

Couzeix is separated from Limoges by the Aurence River . The neighboring municipalities of Couzeix are Nieul in the northwest and Chaptelat in the northeast, Le Palais-sur-Vienne in the southeast, Limoges in the south and Saint-Gence in the west
The former National Route 147 runs through the municipality .
