Saint-Jouvent ( Occitan : Sent Jauvenç ) is a municipality with 1659 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the French department of Haute-Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Saint-Jouvent is part of the canton of Couzeix (until 2015: canton of Nieul ) in the arrondissement of Limoges .

Saint-Jouvent is located about 17 kilometers north-northwest of Limoges . The river Glane has its source here. Saint-Jouvent is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Nantiat in the north and north-west, Thouron in the north and north-east, Compreignac in the north-east, Bonnac-la-Côte in the east, Chaptelat in the south and south-east, Nieul in the south-west and Peyrilhac in the west.
Route nationale 147 runs along the western edge of the municipality .
