Veyrac ( Occitan : Vairac ) is a commune with 2,071 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Haute-Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Veyrac is part of the canton of Couzeix (until 2015: canton of Nieul ) in the arrondissement of Limoges . The inhabitants are called Veyracois .

geography

Veyrac is about 14 kilometers northwest of Limoges . The Glane crosses the municipality in the north. Veyrac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Peyrilhac in the north and north-east, Saint-Gence in the east, Verneuil-sur-Vienne in the south and south-east, Saint-Victurien in the west and south-west and Oradour-sur-Glane in the west and north-west.

The National Route 141 runs through the municipality .
