Saint-Just-le-Martel ( Occitan Sent Just ) is a commune with 2,677 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Haute-Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality is part of the arrondissement of Limoges and the canton of Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat (until 2015: canton of Limoges-Panazol ). The inhabitants are called Martellois .
geography
Saint-Just-le-Martel is seven kilometers east of Limoges on the Auzette River . The Vienne limits the municipality to the north. Saint-Just-le-Martel is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Priest-Taurion in the north, Royères in the east, Aureil in the south, Feytiat in the south-west, Panazol in the west and Le Palais-sur-Vienne in the west and north-west. The former Route nationale 141 (today's D941) leads through Saint-Just-le-Martel to Clermont-Ferrand .
