It belongs to the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , the Haute-Vienne department , the Limoges arrondissement and the Eymoutiers canton . The residents call themselves Châtelauds . The neighboring municipalities are Saint-Priest-Ligoure in the northwest, Vicq-sur-Breuilh in the northeast, Magnac-Bourg in the east, Meuzac in the southeast and La Roche-l'Abeille .
