The canton of Eymoutiers is a French constituency in the arrondissement of Limoges , in the department of Haute-Vienne and in the region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; its main town is Eymoutiers . Michel Ponchut ( ADS ) has been a representative in the Department's General Council since 1998 .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the cantons in 2015, the canton consisted of twelve municipalities on an area of 364.22 km²: Augne , Beaumont-du-Lac , Bujaleuf , Cheissoux , Domps , Eymoutiers (main town), Nedde , Peyrat-le-Château , Rempnat , Saint-Amand-le-Petit , Sainte-Anne-Saint-Priest and Saint-Julien-le-Petit . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 8709.
