The canton of Châlus is a former French constituency that existed until 2015 in the arrondissement of Limoges , in the department of Haute-Vienne and in the region of Limousin ; its main town was Châlus . From 1979, Jean-Claude Peyronnet ( PS ) was the representative in the General Council of the Département .

The canton of Châlus was 163.15 km² and in 2006 had 5,410 inhabitants. It was on average 373 meters above sea ​​level , between 256 meters in Lavignac and 551 meters in Bussière-Galant .
