The canton of Mézières-sur-Issoire was until 2015 a French constituency in the arrondissement of Bellac , in the department of Haute-Vienne and in the region of Limousin ; its main town was Mézières-sur-Issoire . Jean-Claude Bonnet ( non-party ) was the last representative on the Department's General Council from 2001 to 2015 (last re-elected in 2008 ).

The canton of Mézières-sur-Issoire was 260.05 km² and had 3,671 inhabitants (as of 1999), which corresponded to a population density of around 14 inhabitants per km². It was on average 265 meters above sea ​​level , between 122 meters in Bussière-Poitevine and 492 meters in Montrol-Sénard .
