Canton of Bessines-sur-Gartempe
The canton of Bessines-sur-Gartempe is a former French constituency that existed until 2015 in the arrondissement of Bellac , in the department of Haute-Vienne and in the region of Limousin ; its main town was Bessines-sur-Gartempe . From 1976, Bernard Brouille ( PS ) was the representative in the General Council of the Department .
The canton of Bessines-sur-Gartempe was 156.61 km² and on January 1, 2013 had 5129 inhabitants. It was on average 347 meters above sea level , between 250 meters in Bessines-sur-Gartempe and 576 meters in Razès .
