The Canton Pierre-Buffière was 2015 a French constituency in Arrondissement of Limoges , in Haute-Vienne and in the region of Limousin ; its main town was Pierre-Buffière . Jean-Louis Nouhaud ( PS ) was last representative in the General Council of the Département from 2001 to 2015 .
The canton Pierre-Buffière was 194.36 km² and had 6,965 inhabitants (as of 1999), which corresponded to a population density of around 36 inhabitants per km². It was on average 374 meters above sea level , between 223 meters in Boisseuil and 460 meters in Saint-Paul .
