The Canton Nieul was 2015 a French constituency in Arrondissement of Limoges , in Haute-Vienne and in the region of Limousin ; its main town was Nieul . The last representative in the General Council of the Département was Nancette Mazière ( PCF ) from 2001 to 2015 .
The canton of Nieul was 153.95 km² and had 8,300 inhabitants (as of 1999), which corresponded to a population density of around 54 inhabitants per km². It was on average 322 meters above sea level , between 220 meters in Veyrac and 481 meters in Chaptelat .
