The Canton Laurière was 2015 a French constituency in Arrondissement of Limoges , in Haute-Vienne and in the region of Limousin ; its main town was Laurière . Christian Trentalaud ( PCF ) was the last representative in the General Council of the Département from 2008 to 2015 .

The canton Laurière was 134.88 km² and had 3,435 inhabitants (as of 1999), which corresponded to a population density of around 25 inhabitants per km². It was on average 468 meters above sea ​​level , between 285 meters in Bersac-sur-Rivalier and 701 meters in Saint-Léger-la-Montagne .
