Mezieres-sur-Issoire to Occitan "Maseres", is a commune Déléguée in the municipality of Val d'Issoire with 777 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine , in the Haute-Vienne department and Arrondissement of Bellac . It was the main town (chief lieu) of the canton of Mézières-sur-Issoire and was defeated in 2015 to the canton of Bellac . The residents call themselves Méziérauds .

Mézières-sur-Issoire was merged with Bussière-Boffy to form the Commune nouvelle Val d'Issoire with effect from January 1, 2016 .
