Henning Behrens

Henning Behrens (born February 1, 1940 in Hamburg ) is a German economist and political scientist and works as a management consultant.

Life

After graduating from high school in Blankenese , Behrens studied economics and political science at the University of Hamburg and the Free University of Berlin . He obtained degrees in economics and political science (FU Berlin). In 1978 he received his doctorate. rer. pole. at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . He researched and taught at the University of Southern California, Johns Hopkins University and, from 1990, at the European University (Professor of Economics / Global Enterprise). He has been active in MBA and Executive MBA programs at 16 European and international institutions.

Behrens works as an independent economic, corporate and political consultancy. He advised multinational companies and numerous medium-sized companies such as ABB , the BMW Group , the joint venture BMW / Brilliance; Retail start-up in China (International BMW Master Coach , Benchmark), RHW / Audi , Lucent Technologies , Wayss & Freytag / Rhineland Palatinate (convergence from NATO airport to civil airport Frankfurt-Hahn) and Volkswagen AG .

Publications

His academic publication topics at the time of the Cold War include : concepts of international politics , developments at the fires in the Middle East, system comparison BRD / GDR (materials for the state of the nation report ), strategy and tactics of international negotiation processes; and with the transition to the 21st century: How globalization and globalization processes in international politics, in the world economy and in international business challenge and change the world and the local, regional and global coexistence of people.
