Ross McCall

Ross McCall (* 13. January 1976 in Port Glasgow ) is a Scottish actor , as well as animal and environmental protection - activist .

Life

At the age of 12, the then unknown McCall played singer Freddie Mercury in the music video The Miracle (1989) by the rock band Queen . In Germany, McCall achieved notoriety primarily through his impersonation of the Jewish GI Cpl Joseph Liebgott in the television series Band of Brothers - We were like brothers . He played minor supporting roles in Ghost Whisperer - Voices from the Beyond , CSI: NY , in Hooligans and the lead role in the sequel Hooligans 2 .

Since October 17, 2008 McCall has played the role of the police officer Kenny Battaglia in the American television series LA Crash . His German dubbing voice in this series is Felix Spieß . McCall lent his voice to characters in the original version of the film The Polar Express and the computer game Call of Duty 2 . In addition to acting, he also writes scripts .

From November 2007 until the end of 2008, McCall was in a relationship with fellow actor Jennifer Love Hewitt .

In 2014, Ross McCall took part in a campaign by the marine conservation organization Sea Shepherd to prevent the killing of whales in the Faroe Islands . The following year McCall returned to the Faroe Islands, again accompanied by Sea Shepherd, to document the driven hunts there in a short film.

In 2014 McCall took part in a campaign by the animal rights organization PETA to ban wild animals in circuses. He was photographed with a " Sea World Kills" t-shirt.

In addition, the actor campaigns against trophy hunting.

McCall also supports the Performing Animal Welfare Society and the animal welfare organization The Humane Society of the United States .
