Jennifer Love Hewitt
Jennifer Love Hewitt (born February 21, 1979 in Waco , Texas ) is an American actress and singer . In Germany she was best known for the role of Sarah Reeves in the series Party of Five and New York Life - Endlich im Leben! played. Jennifer Love Hewitt also gained great popularity through her leading role in the first two parts of I Know What You Did last summer and as the leading actress in the series Ghost Whisperer .
Life
Hewitt was the second child of her parents, she has a brother. Her parents separated when Hewitt was six months old; the children grew up with their mother in the small Texas town of Killeen .
After Hewitt had already gained stage experience with a Texan show troupe as a child, talent scouts advised that the now 10-year-old should move to Los Angeles for better career opportunities . Hewitt followed the advice and went to California with her mother , while her brother stayed in Texas to graduate from high school. Hewitt quickly received his first offers for advertising shoots and from 1989 to 1991 he worked for the Disney Channel children's show Kids Incorporated . Various roles followed in less successful television productions, all as Love Hewitt . In 1993, now under her full name, she got her first role in a movie - she played Margaret in Sister Act 2 - In Divine Mission .
Her real breakthrough came as Sarah Reeves in the television series Party of Five , in which she appeared from 1995 to 1999. In 1997, Hewitt had another box office hit with the movie I Know What You Did Last Summer . From 1999 to 2000 she played Sarah Reeves in the spin-off New York Life - Finally in Life! . In 2001 she starred alongside Sigourney Weaver , Gene Hackman and Jason Lee in the marriage trickery comedy Heartbreakers - Warning: Sharp curves! . In 2002, she lent her voice to the Madellaine in the 20 direct-to-video production The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 of the Walt Disney Studios . From 2005 to 2010 she took on the lead role of the medium Melinda Gordon in the fantasy - mystery television series Ghost Whisperer - Voices from the Beyond , for which she was also responsible as a producer.
2010 followed the lead role in the television film The List , which earned her a 2011 Golden Globe nomination. In it, Hewitt played a former beauty queen who was forced to work in a massage parlor after her family's social decline. She also took on this role from 2012 to 2013 in the Lifetime television series of the same name , which was based on the television film. The series was discontinued in November 2013 after a dispute between it and the producers over the creative direction of another season by the station after two seasons.
In the tenth season of the series Criminal Minds , she impersonated special agent Kate Callahan as the successor to Jeanne Tripplehorn . After the season ended, she left the show to take care of her second child.
In addition to her work as an actress, Hewitt is also a singer . Her book The Day I Shot Cupid was published in March 2010 .
Private life
From November 2007 until the end of 2008 she was engaged to Ross McCall .
From 2009 to March 2010, she had a liaison with Jamie Kennedy , her fellow actor from Ghost Whisperer .
From July 2010 to early May 2011, she dated actor, director and screenwriter Alex Beh .
In early June 2013 it was announced that she had got engaged to her fellow actor Brian Hallisay from The Client List after 15 months. The wedding later took place on an unknown date. In November 2013, the two parents of a girl before their son was born in June 2015.
