On January 16, 2018, a second season of the series was ordered, which has aired in the United States since September 23, 2018. In March 2019, the series was extended for a third season. In German-speaking countries of the shows pay TV transmitters Sky One all three seasons.

The series follows the lives of Los Angeles first responders : police officers, paramedics, firefighters, and control center staff. The series shows them both at work and in private life.
