Connie Britton
Constance Elaine "Connie" Britton (born March 6, 1967 as Constance Elaine Womack in Boston ) is an American actress . She was best known for her roles in the television series Chaos City (1996-2000), Friday Night Lights (2006-2011) and Nashville (2012-2017).
Life
Britton was born in Boston in 1967 to Linda Jane Cochran and the physicist Allen Womack. At the age of seven, she and her family moved to Lynchburg , Virginia. She studied Asian Studies at Dartmouth College and then moved to New York City , where she studied for two years at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater near Sanford Meisner .
During this time Britton made her acting debut in New York with Caroline Kavas The Early Girl . After graduating, she worked on off-Broadway productions for two years . After the success of Little Sins Among Brothers (1995), she moved to Los Angeles . From 1996 to 2000 she had a leading role in the television series Chaos City . In the 2006 fifth season of series 24 , she had a supporting role on the side of Kiefer Sutherland . In the same year, the thriller The Last Winter appeared , in which she played a leading role. She was also seen in a leading role in the series Friday Night Lights from 2006 after she previously appeared in the film of the same name . For the role of Tami Taylor in Friday Night Lights , she was nominated for an Emmy for best actress in a drama in 2010 .
From October 2012 she was on the ABC television series Nashville as country singer Rayna Jaymes, whose success has waned over the course of her career and is therefore touring with the up-and-coming country singer Juliette Barnes ( Hayden Panettiere ). For this role, she was nominated for Best Actress in a Series - Drama at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards and the 2013 Emmy Awards .
