Reviews

The film has so far received approval from 86 percent of Rotten Tomatoes critics .

Sheri Linden from The Hollywood Reporter says in her review of the film that the story goes well with the screenwriter and director Nicole Holofcener , who in her short filmography with intelligence and wit deals with the pain, outbursts of anger and also a frequent ridiculousness that adults experience People are watching. For this purpose, Holofcener reduced the number of narrative strands and points of views that exist in the novel in their script. At the center of the film is Ben Mendelsohn in the role of Anders Hill with a gripping acting performance that Linden counts as one of the most captivating character actors of all time. The film critic also emphasizes the straightforward, functional imagery in Alar Kivilo's camera work.
