Elizabeth Marvel

Elizabeth Marvel (born November 27, 1969 in Orange County , California ) is an American actress .

Life

Marvel has been a film and television actress since 1998. She played u. a. in True Grit the adult Mattie Ross and in Burn After Reading - Who's Burning Your Fingers Here? both filmed by brothers Ethan and Joel Coen . She also played roles in the internationally successful films The Bourne Legacy and Hyde Park on the Hudson .

Since 2014 she has played the role of United States Solicitor General Heather Dunbar in the political series House of Cards . In 2017 she took on the role of US President Elizabeth Keane in the sixth season of the spy series Homeland .

She has been married to fellow actor Bill Camp since 2004 . Together they are parents of one son.
