The Gootee Nunatak is an approximately 250 m high nunatak on the Shackleton coast of the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It is the only ledge on the western end of Couzens Bay .
A team led by the US geologist Edmund Stump (* 1946) from Arizona State University explored it between 2000 and 2001 as part of the United States Antarctic Program . Namesake is Brian Francis Gootee (* 1972), who belonged to this team.
